Unit 6 Learning Aim D
Introduction:
For my campaign, the main message is that students are the film makers of the future and that students that are currently learning about the film industry will become the next generation of filmmakers. They will be the ones that will have a big impact of the development of the film industry. The message highlights how essential it is to provide students with the chance to study film production and develop their skills.
The main purpose of the campaign was to show that anyone can make or edit a film at such a young age if they wanted to. It shows that it is easy to get started by using a variety of options such as smartphones and very cheap digital cameras that can be found in markets or websites. Also, the ability to use free video editing programs further shows that students can easily begin a career in video editing or filmmaking.

Social media
On social media, I ended up creating three social media accounts on three different platforms when I had originally decided to do four. The platforms that I had chosen are twitter, Instagram, and YouTube which was to release the trailer. This trailer had all the trailers for the films that were going to be shown in the film festival into one trailer.
Twitter Analysis Feedback
On the twitter account I created, I put the banner and logo I made on canva.com on the account.
The twitter account was not successful because it had not gained any followers. It had also not gained a lot of likes on the post. Next time, I could try posting more regular which should hopefully get more people to follow the account and also like the post. However, the views that the account got made it become a success. This is because 30+ people had viewed the first tweet that I made on it overall helping with getting people to attend it.
In the next tweet, it had dropped down in the number of views. This may be because I didn’t post anything for 13 days (about 2 weeks) which is why next time, I will need to consider tweeting on the account more regularly to remind people of the film festival.
The third post followed the same trend of not uploading more often which may be the cause of the post not gaining as much attention as it could have.
After the third post, I tweeted another post which had gained the same number of views that the other tweet had received. Near the ending of the campaign, I started tweeting much more often but did not solve the issue of not a lot of people viewing the tweet.
Instagram Analysis Feedback
For the Instagram account, it ended up being more successful than the twitter account as I had managed to gain followers from it with three people in total while the twitter didn’t gain any. I used the same process that I did on the twitter account which was using the same banner and logo but instead using different size dimensions. This is because it is different on every platform.
I made sure to put the links in each of the social media platforms so that people can try to go and follow the other social media platforms in case that they may prefer using a different platform instead. It will also help to get people to like the posts on the other platforms.

What can I do next time?
After analysing all the platforms, the improvement I can make next time which will make a huge difference is ensuring that I post regularly on all the social media platforms. This is so that I remind people of the film festival and build hype for the four films that will be shown. For the posters that I put around the school, I will need to make sure that I am posting them in more areas instead of just focusing mainly on putting them around the canteen. This will overall help to make the campaign more successful.
